After the core city, Volpriehausen is the second-largest district of the city of Uslar am Sollingrand in the Northeim district in southern Lower Saxony.

Volpriehausen is located on the southeast edge of the Solling mountain range and Solling-Vogler Nature Park in the Rehbach valley near Bollert to the east. Neighboring towns - each about 1.5 km away - are the Uslar districts of Delliehausen (north), Schlarpe (south) and Gierswalde (west). The core city of Uslar is around 7 km to the west.
