The locality is situated by the road E55 from Bořislav to Velemín - in the mountain pass called Paškapole between the hills Milešovka (837 m) and Kletečná (706 m). Well-developed crystals traditionally called augite are now, after modern analysis, classified as diopside. They are found in the rocks by the road - leucitic basanite.

Paškapole (472 m above sea level) is the name of a mountain ridge in the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area, which is located between the highest mountain in the České středohoří (Milešovka) and another high hill, Kletečná (706 m).

The busy road I / 8 from Lovosice to Teplice passes here, which overlaps with the international E55. The Paškapole saddle between the villages of Velemín and Bořislav is the highest point on this route.

The D8 motorway leading from Prague to Dresden was originally supposed to be on the old route of the international road E55. After a series of civic and environmental protests, the D8 route (and with it the E55) was eventually moved about 2 km east towards Prackovice, so traffic is largely avoided by the Paškapole section.
