A silver mine 4 miles west of Nespelem on Hobo Hill. It worked quartz veins along fracture zones ion altered granite. The main zone is about 4' wide and carries an 8" quartz vein. Development includes a 30' crosscut, 30' drift and a 35' stope on the upper level, a 170' crosscut and a 150' drift on the middle level connected to the upper level by a raise and stope, and a 155' crosscut and 220' of drifts on the lower level. It produced 12 tons of ore in 1919, 11 tons in 1926, and 13 tons of ore in 1936.

Structure: The Porphyritic Granodiorite Of Manila Creek Is Part Of The Keller Butte Suite Of Holder And Holder (1988). Rocks Of The Keller Butte Suite Were Emplaced During Regional Ductile Stretching That Resulted In The Deformation Associated With The Metamorphic Core Complexes (Holder And Holder, 1988).

Geology: The veins are in the (paleocene?)-eocene porphyritic granodiorite of manila creek (gulick and korosec, 1990, geol. Map).

Ore(s): Quartz Lenses And Veins Are Present In A 4-Ft-Wide Shear Zone In The Granodiorite (Moen, 1976). The Vein May Be Crosscut By An Eocene Hypabyssal Dacite Dike ( Colville Confederated Tribes, 1984).
