Andersen (1931) designation: Lauvland III (Saga).
Until 1927 150 tons of feldspar have been mined here.

Ola Lauvland operated this quarry until 2015, but had to give up. The quarry had become very deep with steep walls, and with extreme danger of falling rocks. To remove the overlying amphibolite would have been way too costly.

Around 2017-18 the entire Lauvland farm was sold to Tor Reidar Vasland, who has plans to develop several quarries as a tourist attraction.

The quarry is still in operation, but only for the production of gravel.
