Geology: The similkameen batholith is composed of hornblende granodiorite, biotite granodiorite, porphyritic granodiorite , qtz diorite, and qtz monz nite. The schists & gneisses were derived from paleozoic sediments & volcanics that were regio nally metamorphosed during a jurassic orogeny. Elsewhere in t he district the predominant rocks are triassic limestone, mar ble, & dolomite, & pre-tertiary qtzite, metagraywacke, amphib olite, greenstone, and metavolcanics. ; geol.desc: quartz fissure vein
