Ref.: New York State Museum Bulletin No. 199, Alling, Harold L. (July, 1917), The Adirondack Graphite Deposits: Fig. 1 p. 13, 76-78. A mine located near the South end, South Bay, Lake Champlaiun on the Whitehall Township line. Started 1904 and closed about 1907. Ore is a graphiic quartz-feldspar schist. Workings featured an open pit 100 feet long by 25 feet wide & deep.
