An antimony mine located on the slope of Middle Fork Ridge south of Gold Creek. This mine worked veins and mineralized breccia zones in limey argillite and featured 4 adits and several open cuts. 1050 tons of ore were produced from 1902-1941.
Structure: East-Striking Vein System
Alteration: Slight Addition Of Calcite, Pyrite, Arsenopyrite, And Pyrrhotite
Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc
Commodity: Spectrographic analysis sho W some pyrite and arsenopyrite crystals contain 1-3 oz/ton au.
Deposit: Mrds record d001387 has been merged with this record and deleted ore consists of quartz veins in breccia zone
Deposit type: Simple Sb (veins, pods, etc)
Development: Development in 1969-70; minor production in 1971; l imited production in 1972. Only stibnite occurs in important quantities.
Geology: Bedding strikes n30-40w, dips 50-80sw; beds may be overturned.
Rock formation(s): Newby Group;Newby Group
Ore(s): Ore Pods Plunge Parallel To Intersection Between Bedding And E-W Fractures. E-W Fractures Contain The Ore.
