The Foggy was one of the greatest nonproductive mines of Washington. The mine was started in 1893 and ran for around 20 years. Around 10000 feet of workings were driven on 7 levels, and the tunnels pierced the ridge in multiple places. Miles of trail were built, with a fair amount needing to be blasted into the cliffs. Quite a bit of equipment was hauled in. A large camp was built at the mouth of Goat Lake as well. From all of this effort no ore was produced aside from a possible test shipment.

The mineralization was similar to that of the rest of the Monte Cristo district but with more stibnite and realgar than normal. Like the rest of the mines, the grade decreased quickly with depth.

Deposit: Parallel series of shear zones 2-20 ft side with 9-20 in. Of ore. Dimensions are of main shear zone mrds record d001709 has been merged with this record and deleted
