The Mountain Cedar Prospect was located on a ridge above the North Fork of the Sultan River. It was covered with 10 claims, largely following the informally named Bismuth Gulch. It was developed by several short cuts and adits containing 266' of workings. There is no record of production. Bismuth was reported to occur in some form here but was not verified.
Structure: Shear Zone

Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc

Commodity: Chromite has been reported, but apparently not verified

Deposit: 2-10 ft wide vein along shear zone. There may be two phases of mineralization, a magmatic sulfide phase during crystallization of the ultramafic rocks which concentrated some or all cu and ni and a hydrothermal phase possibly associated with the index batholith during which the remaining commodities and possibly more copper were concentrated.

Deposit type: Polymetallic veins

Geology: The district consists of accreted metasedimentary rocks intruded by granitic rocks and overlain by marine strata and younger volcanic rocks
