A Au-Ag-Se occurrence/mine located in the NE¼ sec. 12, T36N, R32E, ½ mile SW of Republic on Copper Mountain.

Mineralization is veins up to 8 to 10 feet wide of concentrically crustified chalcedonic quartz.

Workings include 2 miles (3.2 km) of adits, tunnels, drifts, winzes, raises, and crosscuts.

It had produced an estimated $1,400,000 (period values) by 1910, 2,757 tons of ore was shipped in 1937, ore was shipped from 1933-1946. The ore was shipped to the Tacoma Smelter (http://www.mindat.org/loc.php?loc=52739). Total production is listed at 140,000 tons at 0.66 oz/ton gold and 3.07 oz/ton silver.
Tectonics: Epithermal Deposits Of The Republic District Are Found In The Eocene Sanpoil Volcanics. (See Repulic District For Additional Details)

Development: Econ.com: estimated production of $1,400,000 prior to 1910; shipped 2757 tons of ore to a smelter in 1937; shipped in 1933-1946 (huntting, 1956, p. 124).

Ore(s): The Vein Is As Much As 10ft Wide, But Averages About 3ft. The Vein Is Composed Principally Of Chalcedonic Quartz And Is Cocentrically Crustified. Crustifications Are Marked By Dark, Crenulated Bands (Huntting, 1956, P. 124). (See Republic District For Additional Details)
