The "Hannover" coal mine was located in the districts Hordel (shafts N° 1/2/5) and Günnigfeld (shafts N° 3/4/6) of Bochum, Ruhr coal mining area / Germany.
First activation: 1857 as the "Sechs Brüder & Sechs Schwestern" coal mine
Renaming in "Hannover" coal mine in 1870
Consolidation with the "Königsgrube" coal mine in 1958
Consolidation with the "Hannibal" coal mine in 1959
Merger with the "Hannibal" coal mine and the "Constantin der Große" coal mine to form the new "Bergwerke Bochum" coal mine in 1967
Abandoned: 1973
