Structure: Minor Faults And Fracturing In The Greenstone
Tectonics: Active Margin (Leading Edge Of North American Plate)
Deposit: Two small, manganiferous ore bodies in separate siliceous zones in altered basalt. Zones are 6 x 30 ft and 6 x 22 ft. Ore is exposed in 4 places over a 135 ft distance and one body was up to 20 ft wide
Deposit type: Volcanogenic Mn, Olympic Peninsula
Development: Exploratory bulldozer trenching was undertaken by the u.s. Bureau of mines in 1954 to search for extensions of the ore bodies. Results were not reported in references
Geology: Spring at about 945 ft elevation (next to lower zone) issues from greenstone.
Rock formation(s): Crescent Formation;Crescent Formation
