Tacoma Mine; Claims: Golden Arrow Nos. 1 and 2, Park Creek Placer
A small gold mine along the west side of Bonita Creek. The ore consists of narrow quartz veins in argillite and arkose of the Early Cretaceous Harts Pass Formation. It was developed by a few adits, the longest of which was 1000' long, a shaft, and a crushing plant. From 1951-1953 small shipments of ore were made from the upper workings of the mine.
Structure: Jur-Cret Fold And Thrust Belt Intruded By Cret-Tert Magmatic Arc Plutons Parts Of Vens Are Brecciated. Local Faulting Disrupts Veins
Alteration: Pyritization Of Wall Rock
Tectonics: Cascade Volcanic Arc
Deposit: 2 veins. Golden arro W vein is 6-24 in. Thick, contains some free gold, terminates against fault. Second vein is 6-28 in. Thick, average 2 ft thick. 3 unpatented claims ; info.src : 1 pub lit
