Addy Mine; Addy Tungsten Mine

A tungsten mine near the summit of Wellington Peak. The geology is Tertiary-Cretaceous Granite and Granodiorite of the Huckleberry Range. The granite is cut by quartz veins bearing some tungsten minerals. Development consisted of 768' of workings in two adits. This mine produced ore in 1916-1917, 1929-1932, 1936-1939, and 1955.
Commodity: Quartz vein becomes pegmatitic in west part of lower adit.

Deposit: Stock intrudes mission argillite. Tungsten - bearing veins near central part of stock.

Development: Econ.com: concentration of ore minerals easy because of simple mineralogy

Rock formation(s): Medium-To Coarse-Grained Porphyritic Granite Stock
