Dufresne property
Formerly: Manny zone (Dufresne property), Oka, Oka complex, Deux-Montagnes Co., Québec, Canada.
The Manny zone was defined during the exploration in the 1950s by the former Quebec Columbium Ltd. It is situated in the northern part of the northern ring structure of the Oka complex (see map in Gold 1972). Much of the zone was on the Dufresne family farm about 2 km up the road from the former Saint Lawrence Columbium mine, on the NE side of the Sainte-Sophie Road.
Although very few species have been specifically mentioned in the literature, many more found in the complex are likely to be there. Sabina (1983) lists a restricted mineral assemblage from the Manny Zone with britholite being the main phase. Her britholite-associated phases are: calcite, magnetite, biotite, apatite, feldspar and quartz.
