Located on the Tabb fault system, this was the largest producer of fluorite in the Commonwealth of Kentucky - producing about 2 million tons during the 20th century. As a result, it has some of the largest mine dumps in the Illinois - Kentucky fluorspar district. The property was recently sold to someone in Illinois, so access is questionable. However, neighbors have keys to the gate and may provide access for educational groups. See mineral list for what has been found. Update - mineral rights obtained by B.
