One of the richest tin mines in the district.
In the 20th century, the dumps were largely removed for reprocessing.
The mine produced pseudomorphs of kaolinite after orthoclase, fine-grained quartz after orthoclase and cassiterite after orthoclase (Rowe & Le Neve Foster, 1879).
