A copper mine, located 70 km south-west of Rehoboth. Reduced facies type stratabound copper deposit, hosted in Proterozoic argillite.

Extracts from Borg (1987):

Cu mineralization occurs in dark, fine-grained clastic sediments. In the Klein Aub area, a zone of sub-economic Cu-Ag mineralization is situated in the basal dark-coloured pyritic sediments (Kagas Beds) of the Klein Aub Formation. This mineralized zone is intermittently developed over a strike length of at least 80 km. Mineralization occurs in tabular bodies, generally less than two metres thick, but exceeds Cu-grades of 1% only locally.
