Bornshyttan ("The Children's Cottage") is located about 10 km northeast of Filipstad, approx. 202 m.a.s.l. During the 16th century, Bornshyttan was one of the largest cabins in Filipstad's Bergslag. Only insignificant remains show where the cabin stood today. It was probably demolished because the water course was too shallow.
