A vein, described as up to 10 feet thick, more than 800 feet in length spaning a stream valley 1.1 miles north of Kidd's Store (Smith, J.W., et al, 1964, Geology And Mineral Resources Of Fluvanna County, VA Division Of Mineral Resources Bulletin 79). It was test pitted in 1918. Rhodonite is the dominant mineral in parts of the vein, sometimes massive and elsewhere brecciated with quartz and jasper. Rhodonite also occurs in some of the veinlets that crosscut the principal vein.
