A former Mn occurrence/mine located in the S½N½N½ sec. 36, T12N, R14W, G&SRM, 9 miles SW of Signal, along Maggie Wash, on state of Arizona land. Owned by the State of Arizona (1958-1973). Operated by R.S. Rodgers, Arizona (1955-1973). Discovered in 1953. Operated 1953-1955. The USGS MRDS database stated accuracy for this locality is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is narrow mineralized fractures along the north side of a fault, hosted in the Pliocene Sandtrap Conglomerate. The ore body strikes E and dips 60N at ba width of 0.91 meter (3 feet) and a length of 304.8 meters (1,000 feet) and covers an area of 16.2 HA. Ore bodies Nos. 1 & 2 are fissure veins and ore body No. 3 is a shear zone. The primary mode of origin was contact metasomatism. Primary ore control was igneous activity. Wallrock alteration is slight (propylitic & advanced argillic). Mn was mined from small ore shoots along the western end of the fault zone. Two ore shoots produced. The W shoot was 150 feet by 1 to 3 feet, the other, E shoot, was 80 feet by 3.5 feet. Both shoots were intersected by an ore-bearing fracture striking NE. Local rocks include Pliocene to middle Miocene deposits and/or Late to middle Miocene basaltic rocks.

Workings include surface openings with an overall length of 70.1 meters (225 feet).
