A former surface Mn mine on private property. Discovered 1953 and operated in 1955.
Mineralization is Mn ore in seams and small podlike masses. Manganese-bearing fractures range from a fraction of an inch to several inches wide. The podlike masses are occasionally several feet in diameter.
