A Au-Fe-Zn occurrence/claim/prospect/mine located in the NE¼ sec. 27, T3N, R1W, SBM, about 6.3 km (4 miles) NNW of Fawnskin, E of Greenlead Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Idle in 1958.

This locality is very significant in view of the assemblage of rare mineral species that are common in only one other location at Franklin/Ogdensburg, New Jersey. It is only the second location for naturally occurring hardystonite. The assemblage provides many attractive, multi-colored, fluorescent mineral specimens. This is a privately held claim. All unauthorized mineral collecting is prohibited.

Mineralization is hosted in dolomite. The ore body is podiform. Associated rocks include quartz monzonite. The hematite-rich part of the skarn is irregular, 12 to 30 inches (30 to 75 cm) thick and dipping steeply. It can be traced NW of the mine area for about 200 yards N10W across Greenlead Road. The hematite is described as massive and specular. The epidote is coarse, with surface dimensions of 10 by 50 feet. Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Mojave Desert).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a crosscut adit 30 feet long, driven E into hematite-rich skarn stringers.
