Hosted by Archean gneiss and amphibolite with associated dioritic, granodioritic, syenitic, granitic, diabase and lamprophyre dykes. Mineralisation occurs in EW-striking shear zones or faults, and consists of gold-bearing quartz veins and disseminated alteration ores.
