Name:
Named in honour of Michail Alexandrovich Nazarov (Михаи́л Алекса́ндрович Наза́ров) (13 January 1949 - 8 June 2016), Russian mineralogist and petrologist, for his contributions to the research of reduced meteoritic assemblages. He worked at the at the Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry, V. I. Vernadsky RAS.
Another natural Ni phosphide after nickelphosphide, halamishite, melliniite, negevite, transjordanite, and 'Unnamed (Ni-Fe Phosphide)'.
Can be both of terrestrial and meteoritic origin.
Has the largest number of P atoms per formula unit among the currently (2022) known natural phosphides.
Known synthetic analogue. Structurally related to schreibersite-nickelphosphide join, (Ni,Fe)3P.
Origin: solid-state Fe/Ni fractionacion (T<1100oC).
Can be both of terrestrial and meteoritic origin.
Has the largest number of P atoms per formula unit among the currently (2022) known natural phosphides.

Terrestrial: micron-sized lamellae (intergrown with transjordanite); meteoritic: chisel-like crystals, up to 8 microns long (3 microns thick).
