About Humboldtine GroupHide

Formula:
M2+(C2O4) · 2H2O
M = Fe, Mn, Mg, Zn, Ni
Several synthetic members are known (with M = Co, Ni, Zn).
Various space-group symmetries (monoclinic, orthorhombic and triclinic) have been reported for these M(II) oxalate dihydrates.
The natural members mainly crystallise in space group C2/c.
