About Saamite (of Volkova & Melentiev)
Formula:
(Ca,Sr,REE)5(PO4)3(F,O)
A strontium- and REE-bearing fluorapatite from the Kola peninsula with SrO contents of around 10 mass% and LREE2O3 about 12 mass%. The usual ore apatite of Khibina with SrO ~5 mass% and REE2O3 ~2 mass% is not considered as saamite.
