Comments:"Acabo de analizar una muestra de la costra azul que suele aparecer en la Juanona y alrededores junto al cuarzo azul característico de la zona (Antequera). He empleado SEM (microscopía electrónica de barrido; Philips XL-30LV, 15 kV, BS, presión controlada 0,3 torr, sin recubrimiento), EDS (análisis de emisión de rayos X por dispersión de energía; EDAX UTW Sapphire) y XRD (difracción de rayos X, Philips Xpert, 45 kv, 40 mA). Así, tanto la morfología (vista por SEM, apreciándose el material formado por fibras), como la composición (determinada por EDS, con exiguo contenido en carbono y relación elemental que se ajusta a la estequiometría propia de la serie riebeckita-magnesioriebeckita, con algo de calcio substituyendo al Mg) y la estructura cristalina (establecida por XRD, donde la fase detectada con claridad, además del cuarzo, es riebeckita) confirman que no es aerinita, sino una riebeckita con parte del Fe substituido por Mg y Ca, aunque sin llegar a la estequiometría extrema de la magnesioriebeckita." - Juan Miguel Jiménez
