A former lode Au-Pb-Fe mine located in sec. 9, T1N, R16E, MDM, 2.2 km (7,100 feet) ESE of Tuolumne and about 2½ miles SSE of Soulsbyville (in the canyon of the North Fork Tuolumne River), on private (patented) land. The property is comprised of 5 claims covering 90 acres. Operated principally 1897 to 1908. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit with 2 parallel veins averaging 5 feet in thickness, hosted in slate. The ore body is tabular in form, strikes N8E and dips 45E. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 1,300 foot deep shaft with drifts to the 700 level on the footwall vein, while drifts below to 1,100 foot level on the hanging wall vein.
