A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼ sec. 29 & in sec. 30, T2N, R14E, MDM, 0.6 km (1,900 feet) W of Tuttletown, on the S side of Jackass Hill, on private land. The property consists of 3 or 4 patented claims, covering approximately 40 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

NOTE: MRDS database file #10077919 presents a T&R value of T3N, R15E, MDM. This is in obvious error since it conflicts with the other 2 MRDS files which pertains to this locality, plus it conflicts with the description of the locality relative to Jackass Hill.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in schist. The ore body strikes N30W and dips 70E. Ore from a stringer lead in gray-green amphibolite schist, containing pyrite cubic crystals to 1 square inch (2.5 cm on a side). A thin coating of Au can be seen on some of the pyrite faces. Some of the quartz is clear. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 330 foot inclined shaft on a 70 degree incline. The principal drift is 900 feet long on the 300 level. There is also a 700 foot crosscut adit on the 300 level.
