A former lode Au-Ag mine located near the center sec. 30, T2N, R14E, MDM, 1.7 km (5,600 feet) WNW of Tuttletown, on Jackass Hill (on the summit), on private land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in amphibolite and schist. The ore body strikes N40W and dips 68E at a thickness of 2.74 meters. Ore emplacement controls included an intensely metasomatized zone 4 to 9 feet thick at the 150 foot level. Amphibolite schist predominately fine-grained and greenish. Some coarse-grained facies also occur, one of which contains hornblende porphyroblasts. The ore zone is arcuate in plan view and ranges in strike from N25W to N50W. A 160 foot ore shoot was developed in the ore zone.

Local alteration involved the metasomatic alteration of schist. The distribution of gold is somewhat erratic, portions of high-grade ore alternating with poorer material. Telluride minerals have been reported from some of the high-grade pockets. Sulfides essentially all pyrite form 15% of the ore. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).

Workings include underground openings comprised of an inclined shaft with 150 and 450 foot levels.
