An asbestos occurrence located in sec. 3, T38N, R6W, MDM, 5.9 km (3.7 miles) W of Boulder Peak, on the SW side of the Mumbo Basin, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a deposit with swarms of widely spaced asbestos stringers hosted in peridotite. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 1 (Trinity Ophiolite).
