A former Au-Cu mine located in sec. 32, T35N, R10W, MDM, 2.5 km (8,300 feet) ENE of Dedrick, along an unnamed tributary of Little East Fork Canyon Creek, on Bureau of Land Management land (Trinity Alps Wilderness). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite. The ore body strikes NE and dips 45SE at a thickness of 0.61 meters. The ore contained about 5% of pyrite and chalcopyrite. Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 7 (Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 120 feet of drifts, a raise of 100 feet, 4 adits ranging from 50 to 385 feet long, and 1 stope (60 feet x 3 feet x 80 feet).
Production data are found in: Averill (1941).
A shipment of 7.5 tons of hand-picked ore was sorted from 80 tons of run-of-mine ore, and was shipped to the Selby smelter, which gave net returns of $2,330 (period values). No other production record was found.
