A Mn occurrence located in sec. 16, T29N, R11W, MDM, 3.9 km (2.4 miles) ESE of South Dubakella Mountain, on a steep hillside of the N slopes of Dubakella Creek, an E-flowing fork of the headwaters of Hayfork Creek, on private land in a National Forest (private lease). Mineralization is hosted in chert. A dense black chert belt several yards wide is heavily stained with Mn oxide. A small amount of limonite is mixed with oxides near the surface. Psilomelane occurs as bands, selvedges on fracture planes, and small veinlets in the chert. White quartz veinlets carrying pyrite cut through dark green chert. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 9 (Western Klamath Mountains).
