A Cr occurrence located in sec. 11, T29N, R11W, MDM, 3.0 km (9,800 feet) SW of Wildwood, along Hayfork Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in dunite. The ore body strikes N9W and dips 90 at a thickness of 0.3 meters and a length of 0.91 meters. The deposit occurs in one of several dike-like peridotite bodies that are NW-trending across central to SW Trinity County. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings comprised of a 25 foot long cut on the side of a cliff in the Cedar No. 4 claim.
