A former Hg occurrence/mine located in the NE¼SW¼SE¼ sec. 10, T3N, R3W, MDM, 4.9 km (3.1 miles) E of Vallejo, on the N end of Sulfur Springs Mountain. Operated during the 1870's and 1960. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in sandstone, shale, and andesite. The ore body forms erratic pockets and lenses, strikes NW and dips NE. Controls for ore emplacement included a NW-trending fault. Local rocks include Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
Local structures include a breccia zone.
Workings include unspecified underground openings.
Production data are found in: Holmes, U.S. Bureau of Mines Minerals Yearbooks, 1959-1973.
Produced less than 100 flasks (74 pounds each) in 1960.
