Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. The ore body strikes N and dips W. There are several veins. The Nevada vein cuts across the strike of the slates and averages 3 feet in thickness, with a maximum of 11 feet. It strikes N and dips 60W and outcrops 4,500 feet on the surface and carries 3% pyrite and galena. The Yuba vein strikes N20W at 12 feet thick, with little sulfides but carries free gold. The Elanore vein is 3 feet thick and strikes N10E with a dip of 60W. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings with an overall length of 1,371.6 meters and comprised of a 700 foot adit on the Nevada vein with 250 feet of drifts and a 60 foot raise.A 115 foot shaft was sunk on the Elanore vein. A 175 foot adit was driven on the Yuba vein.
