A former lode Au-Cu-Zn-Pb occurrence/mine located in the SE¼ sec. 34, T19N, R10E, MDM, 0.6 km (0.4 mile) ESE of Alleghany, on the divide between Kanaka Creek and the North Fork Kanaka Creek, near their confluence (on the W bank of the North Fork Kanaka Creek), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in amphibolite and Late Permian schist. The Minnie D. vein parallels the Morning Glory vein with many splits in much crenulated amphibole schist, massive, with abundant quartz stringers parallel to schistosity. Gougy slip occurs on the lower footwall, crosses the vein and the hanging wall. A W-dipping northwesterly fault may be the same as the Sixteen-to-One. The quartz is massive, and mostly free from wallrock inclusions, but vuggy with siderite and ankerite crystals. Crystals of albite were found where later fault walls are absent. Carbonates occur on the footwall side of a large quartz lens. Lucky Larry (vein) irregularly outcrops from Minnie D. Ravine almost to the Osceola vein & strikes N10W, dips 55W, but changes near the Osceola vein to strike N35E and dip 60W, approaching a major fissure. The Lucky Larry outcrop trace crosses the Minnie D. The Minnie D. vein strikes N55W and dips 50 N. The best prospects where quartz carries dark ribbons with chiefly pyrite & also where the vein changes strike to N & pockets with the vein striking NNW & dipping 40E. Local alteration includes silicification & carbonatization. Local rocks include undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).

Workings include underground openings comprised of 3 adits, with the 2 on the Minnie D. totaling 500 feet plus one short adit on the Lucky Larry.
