A former lode Au-Pb-Cu occurrence/mine located in secs. 25 & in the SE¼ 26, T21N, R11E, MDM, about 10.6 km NNE of Loganville, about 11.3 km WNW of Bassetts and about about 7¾ miles NNW of Sierra City, E of Pauley Creek/Gold Valley, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit with ore shoots hosted in slate and volcanic rock (aphanitic). The ore body strikes N65E and dips 50SE at a thickness of 3.05 meters. A heavy dike striking E cuts and faults the vein to the W (diabase ?). Numerous quartz stringers occur into the hanging wall. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 63.7 meters and comprised of a main adit 700 feet long, a winze and a raise.

No other production record was found.
Up to 10% low-grade sulfides are present.
