A former lode Ag-Au-Pb-Zn-Cu mine located in sec. 20, T31N, R6W, MDM, 1.2 km (4,100 feet) WNW of Petty Butte (coordinates of record), along Andrews Creek. Alternate coordinates provided in MRDS: 40°30'56"N, 122°34'24"W (probably less accurate since coordinates provided below place the mine on the creek). Production years were 1891-1898, 1918-1919 and 1930. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diorite. The ore body dips SE at a thickness of 1.52 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 5 (Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings. The deposit was developed by a 200 foot adit with several hundred feet of drift.
Production data are found in: Goodwin, J. G. (1957): 696 - 697.
Some ore was shipped to Selby in 1922. It contained 1.8% Pb, 13.3% Zn, 150 oz./ton Ag and 0.2 oz/ton Au.
