A Au-Cu occurrence located in sec. 23, in the SW¼ sec. 24 and in secs. 25 & 26, T33N, R6W, MDM, 1.3 km (4,200 feet) NNE of Sugarloaf Mountain (coordinates of record). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in rhyolite. Alteration is local (pyritization; hydrothermal). Rocks in the vicinity are interlayered flows of pyroclastic and non-pyroclastic rhyolite that contain much flow breccia and some pyroclastic material. These rocks have a steep foliation, no bedding. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a total length of 304.8 meters.
