A former lode Au-S mine located in secs. 4 & 5, T31N, R5W, MDM, 4.6 km (2.8 miles) SE of Shasta. Property consisted of 4 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in metavolcanic rock and slate. The ore body is tabular, strikes N and dips 65E at a thickness of 3.66 meters and a width of 131.06 meters. A series of parallel NE-trending veins intersect N-trending veins. The highest Au concentrations occur with pyrite. Local rocks include Devonian marine rocks, unit 2 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 400 foot shaft and 175 foot drift at its base. At different levels there are a total of 5 drifts. A 150 foot stope is on the 300 level to the surface near the shaft.
Production data are found in: Laizure (1921). No production since 1916.
Analytical data results: Ore assayed at $8 to $15 ton (period values).
