A Cu occurrence/group of claims/prospect located in sec. 11, T33N, R6W, MDM, 4.9 km (3.0 miles) N of Sugarloaf Mountain (coordinates of record), along the South Fork Squaw Creek, on National Forest land. The property consisted of 23 claims. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is hosted in porphyry and rhyolite. The ore body is lenticular in form. This prospect occurs in a flow of porphyritic rhyolite. The flow is surrounded by non-porphyritic rhyolite. Most of the rocks are massive. Pyrite is found as bands in rhyolite. Silicified rhyolite in the dump contains 50% disseminated pyrite. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
