A former Cu mine located in sec. 6, T33N, R5W and in sec. 31, T34N, R5W,. MDM, 1.3 km (4,300 feet) S of Mammoth Butte (coordinates of record), along Mary Fork Squaw Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in rhyolite and porphyry. The ore body is tabular in form at 0.91 meters thick. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 1 (Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings with a total length of 914.4 meters.
The claims were developed through the No. 5 tunnel level of the Uncle Sam Mine. The trend of the tunnel is N40E. It intersects the Uncle Sam vein 1,200 feet from the portal. 350 feet beyond this vein, the quartz vein was cut.
