A former Hg occurrence/mine located in the SW¼SE¼SE¼ sec. 29, T8S, R1E, MDM, about 5.4 km WNW of New Almaden, along the N shore of the northern half of the Guadalupe Reservoir, on county owned land (Almaden Quicksilver County Park). Discovered prior to 1860. Produced during the periods 1860 to 1870, 1899 to 1901, 1915 to 1917, and 1935 to 1940. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in Late Cretaceous siltstone. Controls for ore emplacement included locally extensive shearing and NW-trending faults. Local alteration includes silicification and argillization along faults. Local rocks include Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).

Local structures include faults striking N55W.

Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map reflects 1 adit symbol at this point).

Production data are found in: Bailey and Everhart (1964).
