The Hazel W. prospect is located in the N2SE4SE4 Sec. 14 T9S R2W SBM, approximately 2 miles (3.22 km) north-northeast of Pala, situated on the northwestern slope of Chief Mountain. The workings consist of a shallow adit driven into a relatively thin pegmatite dike, which outcrops about 200 feet (ca. 61 m) north of the western part of the Pala Chief dike.
