A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in secs. 16 & 17, T3N, R1W, SBM, about 10.2 km (about 5 miles) NNW of Fawnskin, along the E canyon wall of Silver Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in quartz diorite, hornblendite and quartz monzonite. The host rock is locally mylonitized. Shears strike N78E, and dip 36SE. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 adits driven SW and SE along the veins. A 5-stamp mill was erected on the property.
