A former Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in the E½ sec. 5, T6N, R8E, SBM, 1.2 km (0.7 mile) NNE of Stedman and 3.0 km (1.9 miles) SSW of Ragtown. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. The ore body strikes NW and dips E. The deposit involves breccia zones. Local rocks include Tertiary intrusive rocks (hypabyssal), unit 7 (Northern Mojave Desert).
Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of numerous open pits, shallow shafts and adits (The topo map reflects 4 shaft symbols at the end of a dead end, unimproved road).
