A former lode Au-Ag-W-Pb occurrence/mine located in sec. 22 & in the NW¼SE¼NW¼ sec. 27, T2N, R3E, SBM, about 11.2 km WNW of Rimrock, along Rattlesnake Canyon (1.2 miles WNW of the Bain Ranch), on National Forest land. The property is comprised of 10 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Formerly worked for Au. Scheelite was discovered in 1941 on the Morongo King vein.

Mineralization is hosted in schist, limestone and quartz monzonite. The ore body strikes NE-N and dips 35W at a thickness of 2.44 meters. Two scheelite-tactite bodies occur in granite nearby with a strike NE and dip 35NW, at 6 to 10 feet thick, and lie between a narrow bed of limestone and a massive belt of limestone. The veins are 800 feet long and 6 to 8 feet thick. Associated rocks include skarn (tactite). Local rocks include Carboniferous marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Mojave Desert) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of a winze, several shafts, trenches and pits. Detailed descriptions of the workings are found in Tucker, W. Burling & Reid J. Sampson (1941).

Analytical data results: Samples taken from cuts were reported to carry 0.7-2.0% W ore.
