A former lode Au-Ag-Pb occurrence/mine located 1.5 km (0.9 mile) ENE of Mountain Pass (town). This name is now applied to the Sulfide Queen body, the main ore-bearing structure of the Mountain Pass REE mine.
Here, a 1.4 billion-year-old Precambrian carbonatite yields ores with up to 12% or more REE oxides in weight amidst a metamorphic complex.

NOTE: This locality was apparently once listed in the USGS MRDS database; however, recent attempts to locate a related file met with no results. The mine was located as a alternate name for the Mountain Pass REE Mine.

Mineralization is hosted in aplite and granitic gneiss.
